Eric Freeman was born in Beaufort, South Carolina, where he discovered his passion for dance at the age of ten. By eleven, he was competing in dance competitions and quickly realized that dancing was his true calling. Throughout his early years, Eric attended numerous conventions, earning multiple scholarships and prestigious "Dancer of the Year" awards. He credits his family for inspiring him to pursue dance as a lifelong career.
At the age of fourteen, Eric began teaching dance classes, and by twenty, he secured his first professional dance opportunity. His dedication led him to Los Angeles at the age of twenty-one to further pursue his career in dance. Since then, Eric has achieved remarkable success, performing at the Grammy Awards, dancing at the Apollo Theater with Debbie Allen, opening for renowned artists like Mariah Carey and DJ Khaled, and training with the esteemed Cuban National Ballet School. His television appearances include roles on ABC's Modern Family and the children's series Choral Tales.
As a former artist-in-residence at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy in Los Angeles, Eric now owns, teaches and choreographs for various dance organizations. He takes great pride in embodying the strong principles instilled by his mentors throughout his career.
